You do NOT want to miss this year's Team Awesome Basketball Leadership Academy (TABLA). We are working with some of the best junior counselors this area has to offer, girls who are walking the walk, and talking the talk when it comes to basketball at the next level!
Ever wondered how to take your game to the next level? Ever wondered why mistakes get you so frustrated they take you out of your game? We HOPE you are asking yourself those questions all the time. We have an awesome addition to camp this year. Kadee Gray, a mental skills trainer, will be joining us this week to help guide us to better understating on HOW TO CONTROL our CONTROLLABLES!!!
We will also continue to focus on leadership training to build our next generation of leaders.
It really is a week to remember! We sure hope you will join us for the fun and learning!

Each year the PNBOA Membership (the WIAA referee association) votes to determine a HS Varsity Player, Coach and School Ambassador of the Year. The Ambassadors are those we believe to be an outstanding representative of the players, coaches and teams of the game. They are courteous, respectful, leads by example, respected by their peers and are supportive of the Officiating Community
We would like to let you know that Katie Theirs from the Roosevelt girls’ basketball team is this year's recipient of the PNBOA Girl's Player Ambassador of the Year.
**THANK YOU KATIE FOR REPRESENTING ROOSEVLET AND THE GIRLS PROGRAM WITH STRONG CHARACTER AND RESPECT! WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!
2019 STATE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
Its hard to believe I haven't posted since my birthday, November 16th! HA, so much has happened since then! The roughrider program started a C TEAM! This was only through the hard work and dedication of the coaching staff and our excitement to grow our program. Both the JV and V had winning seasons!
We also ended the varsity season at the state basketball tournament in THE TACOMA DOME! It was an incredible experience! We fought hard to continue past Wednesday's loser out game and WE MADE IT HAPPEN! Our win against Peninsula put us in a double elimination bracket with Garfield first and West Seattle second. We lost both, but it was all part of the ride!! This group of girls will never forget this time together!

I am SOOOO excited to share that Kaylee Clark, one of Roosevelt's own Unified basketball players was part of the Team Washington girls basketball team for the Special Olympics. The fearless squad place second in the championship round Thursday morning! WE TOOK HOME THE SILVER MEDAL!!!!!
Not only was Kaylee a member of the Roosevelt Unified team, she was also a member of our first annual TABLA individual camp. She worked on her basketball and leadership skills in order to be a stronger leader on her school team this past season. She had a great season and was asked to join Team Washington at the Special Olympics. What a great honor it has been to help Kaylee in her desire to be a better leader and basketball player.
Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Kaylee and the rest of her teammates and coaches! We are so proud of you!!!
